Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland she was the daughter of late George and Martha (Garret) Douglas.
She loved to knit, crochet, word puzzles watching sports Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadians and Pittsburgh Penguins were her teams, she also loved to cook at home.
Georgina is survived by her loving husband, John, daughters, Angela (Shawn) Slaunwhite, Sharon (Duane) Messervey, sons Clifford Messervey, Ronald Messervey, Mark (Michelle) Messervey, sister Elizabeth (Ken) Braithwaite, Australia, 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes there will be no service.
