

HARRIS, Gwyneth Anna Eileen—Aug. 16, 1932-Apr. 15, 2022. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Rachel Sandy (Evans) and Kenneth Lloyd Timothy. She attended Queen Elizabeth High School and Halifax Vocational School. She worked at the provincial Department of Highways prior to her marriage to Rev. Ronald Harris. She was active in Girl Guides, earning her Canada Cord, and she loved music, playing for the children’s choir at St. John’s, Fairview, and, later, in various churches in the parishes of Blandford and Pugwash. She was active in the church throughout her life, singing in choirs and participating in various auxiliaries. She took a great interest in her family and especially loved returning to Wales to visit her many relatives. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, David (Dawn Davis) and granddaughter, Yohanna; brothers David Robert (Bobby) and John (Carole) Gwynne-Timothy; nieces Susan Connors (Pat), Debbie Dieplinger (Ed), Kim Moser (Ryan) and nephews John (Abbie), Dave (Jenny), Peter (Cheryl) and Christopher (Amanda) Gwynne-Timothy. She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Rowland (Tim) and sisters-in-law Crystal (Merrick) and Mary (Mulligan). A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, April 23, at the Cathedral Church of All Saints. Interment in the cathedral columbarium with a reception to follow in the cathedral Great Room. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the All Saints Cathedral, the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. A special thank you to the nurses and caregivers at Drummond Hall, Clayton Park, for their attentiveness and many kindnesses.
