THOMPSON, Helen Geraldine – of Halifax, entered peacefully into rest at on June 27, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Lionel (Butch) Thompson. Daughter of the late Burnett and Eva Stevens. Loving mother of Heather Giffen, Belleville, Ont.; Barry (Janice), Charlottetown, P.E.I; proud grandmother of Jason (Laurie) Giffen, Pamela (Ian) McColl, Andrew Giffen, Jeffrey Thompson. Beloved great-grandmother of Barry, Scott and Charlotte Giffen and Everett McColl. Survived by sisters Jean Pierce, Audrey Keeping, Elsie Lewis, Sheila (John) Munroe, sister-in-law Marilyn Stevens, brother-in-law Colin Pierce and son-in-law Allan Giffen. Predeceased by her infant daughter, Bonita Janette; brother Laurie Stevens; sister Mona Pierce; brothers-in-law Arden Pierce, Clyde Keeping, Vince (Marion) Thompson. Ever remembered by her nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Parkstone Enhanced Care, Citadel Court and Melville Lodge for all their care and support. Family and friends are invited to visit at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Friday, June 29th from 10am-12pm. Funeral service will follow in Bayers Road Baptist Church, Bayers Road at 2:00pm. Interment at Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
