Howard Stephen Doucet

Born in Halifax N.S. Oct. 16, 1957 he was the son of Edgar Fidele Doucet and Sarah Catherine Doucet (nee Parsons)

Howard had various jobs throughout his life. He retired from Supply and Services Public Works Canada. He played hockey, skated, and curled. He enjoyed riding his various motorbikes (road trips).

Howard enjoyed his cottage which he helped build (with his family), plus fishing and riding his boat around the lake.

Howard started “The Skate Shop” with Ralph Albert. He then moved to the Tantallon Rink, then to the Halifax forum with his brother Wayne Doucet. They were the “Skate Doctors”, they fixed, sharpened, bought and sold good used skates, and fixed and renewed them. They also sold some hockey gear and sticks.

He is survived by his wife Anne Christine Chisholm, Bedford N.S., his sister Sharon (Pat) Sutherland. His brothers Ronald (Judy and Wayne (Carol). Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Howard was predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home at 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax on Saturday Feb.1, 2025 1pm-2pm followed by a Service at 2pm with a reception to follow.

Cremation has already taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity you wish. Also if possible plant a shrub or some plants in Howard’s memory.
