Born in Halifax, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances Hillier, Whites Lake, N.S.
Irene was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 34 years, Philip; daughters Kimberley (Henry) of Lakeside, N.S. and Brandi (Adam) of Halifax, N.S.; son Troy (Shelley) of Shad Bay, N.S.; grandchildren John, Cassie and Cody; sisters Rose, Donna and Patricia; brother Gary; and many nieces and nephews whom she cared for deeply.
Cremation is to take place on Wednesday, October 31st under the direction of J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax, N.S. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 1st from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 11:00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, in Shad Bay, N.S.
