Isabel Woods

WOODS, Jessie “Isabel” – 88, of Halifax, passed away August 28, 2011, at home. She was the daughter of the late Captain Elroy and Jessie (McDow) MacDonald. She is survived by her sons Donald (Linda), Barry, Brian, and daughter Debra Brown; sisters Carol (Mrs. Harold Gill) of Halifax and Jean (Mrs. Harold Carey) Hillsborough, NB; 3 grandchildren Joel, Daniel and David and 1 great grandchild Dylan. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy; brothers Elroy and Douglas and Sisters Della (Mrs. Keith Sanford), Gloria (Mrs. Gerald Hall). She was a life long member of West End Baptist Church and served on many committees and choir until her stroke in 1999. She was also an Avon representative for 21 years and volunteered at the Hospital for over 25 years.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cdn Diabetes Assoc., Kidney Foundation or Canadian Mental Health Association or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive (902) 455-0531, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in West End Baptist Church Thursday, 1 pm, Rev.
