J. David Sullivan

David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a special friend to many. He was the son of the late Arthur and Kathleen “Dolly ” (Mcdade) Sullivan.

David retired in 2002 from DND Willow Park with 32 years service. He was a member of AFR Lions Club for 35 years.

He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, antique car shows, playing guitar and Sunday drives with Diane.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane (Hatch); son, Shawn (Brenda); daughters, Lisa, Colleen (Edward); grandchildren, Timothy, Andrew (Sullivan) Nicole, Kyle (Shields); great granddaughter, Ava Shields “our special little girl”; sisters, Judith (Flemming) Hansen, Virginia, WA; Gloria Falkenham (Bill), Colleen Fraser, Victoria, BC; brother, Dick (Coleen) Sullivan.

Predeceased by Art and Dolly Sullivan; brother-in-law, Jon Fraser; nephew, Jody Hansen.

Visitation Thursday, September 15, 2016 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax from 7-9 pm. Funeral mass Friday, September 16 at 10:00 am, St. Patrick’s Church, 2263 Brunswick Street, Halifax, with Father Charles Burke Officiating. Reception to follow in church hall with burial in West Chezzetcook St. Anslem’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the nurses in 8.2 of the Halifax infirmary and 7A of the VG Hospital and thank you to everyone else who has been involved in his life and has been a constant support to our family
