
CHAPMAN, Jackson Carr - 92, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Jackson was born February of 1920 in Newport, Rhode Island, to Edwin E. D. Chapman and Annie Louise Jackson. He was an Army Air Corps (U.S.) veteran of WWII, and retired from the Department of the (U.S.) Navy.
Mr. Chapman was predeceased by his wife Mary Alice Archibald (1986). He is survived by his sister, Virginia Chapman Dietrich, of Ridgefield, New Jersey; nephews Thomas Chapman Dietrich, and his wife, Lauren Maehrlein, of New Milford, NJ, and Clifford B. Dietrich, of Ridgefield; and by his beloved companion, Phyllis White, of Halifax.
The family wishes to thank the staff of The Berkeley for their kindnesses to Jackson over the last several years. We also wish to thank the staff of 8.4 of QE II Hospital in Halifax who made his final days comfortable.
Friends may pay their respects Saturday November 10th between 10am - 11am at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, and are invited to attend a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at The Berkeley, 5266 Green Street, Halifax.
