
COREY, James (Jim) Alan – 64, Dartmouth, passed away March 6th, 2013 at the QEII Infirmary. Born in St Stephen, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Rev. E. Gideon Corey and Maxine (Westcott) Corey. Jim was a graduate of Acadia and pursued a career In Information Technology for over 30 years until he retired (2010) from the Federal Government (PWGSC) as a Data Base Administrator. Jim was a life member of the Halifax Kennel Club and in his younger years enjoyed attending dog shows and events with his wife, Marlene. He loved different cultures and camping and was always eager for a new travel adventure. Working in his garden and renovating his house kept him very busy during his retirement years . His warm smile, his dry sense of humour and the twinkle in his eyes will be missed. Jim is survived by his wife Marlene (Billard) his brother Robert Corey (Wolfville), his brother-in-law Doug Billard (Dartmouth) and many much loved cousins across Canada as well as his fur family Scilla, Angus and Raider. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 12th, at 2PM in J.A. Snow Funeral home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, Rev.
