James Douglas Ross

Ross, James Douglas Age 91, of Halifax, passed away January 13, 2015, in Parkstone Enhanced Care. He was the son of the late Neil Allen and Norah (Tanner) Ross of Halifax. He is survived by his sister, June Ross, Halifax; the mother of his children, Dolores Ross, Halifax; children, Marsha (Brian) Ferguson, Halifax; Diane (Fred) Beltgens, British Columbia; Allen (Eileen) Ross, Halifax; Gwen Ross, Toronto; Marlene (Bill) Prescott, Halifax; his good buddy and grandson, Jason (Juanita Donovan) Ross, Halifax; grandchildren, Trina, Derek, Paula, Charlotte, Michele; and 10 great-grandchildren. James was a proud father, grandfather, and veteran of the Second World War. He worked for the CNR for 33 years and was a commissionaire for many years at Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Garden Court. Special thanks to Jessica Lilly for your visits and assistance and to Jim Simmons for the many drives. A memorial service followed by a reception will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 2:30 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
