He was the son of the late Wilkie and Mary (Fitzgerald) Schmeisser. He was pre-deceased by his brothers John (Jack), William, Thomas and Eugene. He is survived by his sisters Cecilia, Marion, Georgina, Susan, and brothers Paul and Lloyd.
