Jeanne Agnes Murphy, age 75, of Halifax, passed away October 1, 2013 at the QEII Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Fred and Mary Vaughan. In her youth she was a competitive basketball player. As an adult, she enjoyed curling and golf. She was a proud grandmother of her 4 grandchildren.
Survived by her husband Paul; sons, Dave (Pam), Steve (Heather); twin sister, Joanne (Con); sister Helen; brothers, Dr. Fred (Carol) Vaughan, Dr. Peter (Anne) Vaughan as well as grandchildren, Katherine, Claire, Joseph, and Emily. Predeceased by her parents; sister Bernadette; brothers Jim, Carl.
Visitation to be held in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531) on Friday, October 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral service to be held in St Agnes Parish, Saturday, October 5 at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the QEII Health Sciences Foundation.
