

Born in Halifax on July 12, 1954, Judie was the daughter of Gerald and Ada (O’Hearn) Boyce.
She enjoyed spending time at the cottage with Mike, and at home around the pool with her grandchildren, family and friends. She initially worked in retail and later at call centres for Sears and Nova Scotia Power. In her spare time she enjoyed playing darts and bowling. She was an avid hockey fan and watched every game of her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, and she loved to go to the rink to watch her grandson Tyler play hockey with the Cole Harbour Wings. She also loved watching her granddaughter Emma’s dance recitals. Judie loved watching Nascar and was Dale Earnhardt’s biggest fan.
Judie is survived by her husband, and best friend for the past 58 years, Mike; her daughter Erica (Christopher) MacKenzie; granddaughter Emma MacKenzie; grandson Tyler MacKenzie; aunt Lorraine Amyotte; loving cousins; Kim Kirby, Sandy Lloy, Phyllis Boyce-Connors and Florence Coffey. She was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Ada Boyce; brothers Mike, Stephen, and Ricky Boyce; and her uncles Ralph Boyce; and Ron, Lou, Bernie and Reg O’Hearn and cousin Sherri Fancy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 27th 2pm at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive followed by a reception at same location immediately after.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Judie’s memory to Hope for Wildlife or any charity of your choice.
