Kelly Lee Payne

Kelly Lee Payne (Coons)-65, of Hubley passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Born in Halifax , November 3, 1959 she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Miriam Coons. A most loving Mom, Nana, Sister, Aunt, and Friend - She brought light and laughter to all who knew her and she cannot be replaced, but her love, especially for her grandchildren, and our memories will keep her in our hearts forever.

Survived by her partner Bruce Hubley; Children, Jocelyn (Graham), Ryan (Laura), Samantha and step son Alex; Grandchildren, Ella, Ethan, Mia, Ezekiel, Elijah, Zaria, Tobias and step grandchildren Jagger, Hadley and Grayson ;Sisters, Gail (late Gary), Rhonda (late Greg); Brother Todd (Jo-Anne); Father-in-law Robert and sister-in-law Libby. She also leaves to mourn her passing many nieces, nephews, dear friends and former Sobeys colleagues.

In addition to her parents, Kelly was predeceased by her Brother, Scott, and Mother-in-law Jeanne Hubley.

Respecting that Mom did not wish to have a funeral service, we believe (and hope) she’d be fine with an informal reception for friends and family to gather and share memories of how she touched their lives. So, an informal gathering for friends and family will take place on Sunday October 26, by invitation only.
