I went to two kayaking weekends. 1st one was 
Rose Bay- Lisa and Brent just starting to get to know each other.
It was an awesome time.  Lisa was such a great person. It was a great party time with this group of Tourism employees/friends.
Had to go back with the same gang but Oak Island that time. Even though I did not kayak with all of them the time spent cooking, eating, drinking, laughing...will always be remembered.

Brent, I know we only met I few times but have known Lisa since late 80's and being a northender have know the MacIsaac family since I was a child. The picture  with her smile only gives us a small glimpse into what I special person Lisa was to all and the passion since her first job working in the Visitor Information Center  of her dedication to making a difference to our community. Lisa's stepfather Ron MacPherson was my mom's brother and although I only met Lisa at Ron's funeral service here in Cape Breton, I was overwhelmed at her "joie de vivre".  It was as though there was a beautiful aura she existed in.  We connected immediately and I am so very sorry we never kept in touch.

My niece, Lisa, was a beautiful warm, kind and courageous person.  She loved life and thought Nova Scotia was the best place on earth.  Lisa’s concern in her last weeks was not for herself, but for her loved ones; she didn’t want people  she cared about to be sad. Lisa was blessed in finding the love of her life, her incredible husband, Brent, who was her rock. Lisa and Brent had cherished lifelong friends who were there for them in best and worst of times. Among them, Jim and Laurie, Randy and Mo, and Chris and Mausi were much-loved and I know will be a great comfort to Brent in the weeks ahead.

My memory of Lisa is Christmas morning when she and Brent would arrive at the home of Jayand Lisa with a box of Cinnabon to start the ritual of opening presents. I knew Lisa as a NS Tourism colleague and over the years, we worked together on a variety of promotions for the province. She was a true ambassador! Knowledgeable and enthusiastic with that big bright smile, she was a respected colleague. 

I was saddened to hear of her passing and offer my sympathies to her family. She will be missed!

 Liza was always a special person to me - as I read the note the first image in my mind's eye was her smile always there when she passed by or stopped to talk. A grin from ear to ear and a gleam in her eye. I always went to say hi to her every time I passed through Halifax. Truly teary moment for me.
