Marilyn Beatrice Lancelot

LANCELOT, MARILYN BEATRICE - It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marilyn Beatrice Lancelot (Smith), 76, on May 15, 2019 in the VG Site, QEII surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Burton Smith and Alice Annie (Lively) Smith. Marilyn was employed at H. H. Marshall Ltd. as the Distribution Services Co-ordinator until she retired in 1996. She was a generous, caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother and her family adored her! Survived by her husband and best friend of 57 years Vincent, daughter, Sherri (Eric) D’Entremont, granddaughter, Erika, sister Jean Welt (Ralph-deceased), Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, sister-in-law’s Patricia Nicodemo, Niagara Falls, Ontario and Judy Smith (Gerald-deceased) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by sister Stella, brother-in-law Ronald Roberts, brothers Gerald Smith and Donald Smith and brother-in-law Ralph Welt. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 22 from 6-8pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive Halifax. Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday May 23 at 11:00am, reception to follow. Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery, Halifax. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Metro Turning Point Centre. The family would like to thank the staff and physicians at the VG site, for their care and support during this difficult time.
