Michael Stoddard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Victoria General Hospital following a courageous battle against cancer.

Michael was the eldest son of John and Dorothy Stoddard (Card). Michael leaves behind his loving wife, Linda (Little) of 39 years and his cat Sam. He is survived by his sisters, Karen (Bob) Slaunwhite, Alaina (Gordon) Sellons; brother Kerry and a very special brother-in-law who was like a brother, Robert (Cindy) Little. Michael was predeceased by his father, John, and sister, Cheryl.

Michael was employed by the Marriott Hotel for the past 20 years. He leaves behind many friends and colleagues who truly respected and cared for him. Michael will be remembered for his wonderful smile and his kind and gentle spirt. Michael had many passions in life; he was a truly gifted craftsman who took great pride in everything he built. He also loved to tinker with all things mechanical and he could repair most anything he put his mind to. One of his favourite pastimes was solving crossword and sudoku puzzles. Mike enjoyed nothing more than having a cold Keith's beer with his friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, and will live on in our hearts forever.

A memorial service and reception will be held Monday October 3, 2016 at 11 am J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS. Donations may be made to the NS Cancer Society or MADD Canada, Halifax Chapter.
