Mona Marie Hurley

HURLEY, Mona Marie – 91, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2010 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in St. John’s Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Bambrick) Ryall. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and knitting and was devoted to her family. She will be sadly missed by daughters Kerry, Fall River and Peggy (Kevin) Yates, Fall River, sister Bernadette Schmidt, Welfleet, Massachusetts, and brother David Ryall, Halifax, and grandchildren Kimberly and Jeffrey Yates, and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, James Hurley, two brothers: Samuel Ryall, and Francis Ryall, and two sisters Mary Mitchell and Lorraine Mitchell. Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 16th, at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax from 2-4pm and the funeral service will be held on Monday, May 17th at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Parish, Fall River, Rev. Duncan McMaster officiating. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
