

Muriel moved to Halifax in 1978 from Tatamagouche and volunteered at Bryony House for almost 2 years when she accepted a fulltime position as night counselor which she retired from in 1994. Throughout her life Muriel was a member of the Northwood Fun Band, Northwood Players as well as Northwood Broadcast, Toastmasters and the Red Hatters.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn LeDuc (Claude) of Ontario; her sons, Robert I. Kennedy of Middle Sackville and Christopher J. Kennedy of Timberlea as well as 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Ignatius Kennedy, her daughter,Gloria Jean Kennedy-Inkpen and her brother, Murray Angove.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531) from 1-2 pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm in the chapel with a reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to Bryony House for the support and shelter of battered women.
