Nellie Jean Lloy

Born in Toronto, she was the third daughter of Alexander & Elizabeth Forrest. Predeceased by loving husband Gerald and sisters Mary and Euphemia. She will be deeply missed by sons Bruce (Patricia) of Stony Plain Alberta, Alex (Rosemarie) of Kincardine Ontario, Andrew (Kathy) of St John's Newfoundland and daughter Marilyn, Halifax. Also forever missing their Grandmother will be Carolyn, David, Kevin, Amanda, Will, Cheryl, Erin, Allison and 11 adoring great- grand children.

Jean moved to Halifax in 1942 to join the WRENS where she worked as secretary to the East Coast Command at the age of 18. Jean met her loving husband of 64 years at West End Baptist Church and once married went on to be founding charter members of Birch Cove Baptist Church.

In line with Jean's wishes cremation has already taken place but a celebration of life will take place Friday January 22nd from 6-9 at Snows Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Drive. Funeral service will be held at Birch Cove Baptist Church, 50 Donaldson Ave., Saturday January 23rd at 1 PM with a brief social following.

Internment will have already taken place at Lawrencetown Cemetery. In Jean’s memory, donations can be made to the QEII Hospital, Birch Cove Baptist Church, or your preferred charity. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of QEII ward 8.3 for their tremendous support and compassion.

God has her in His keeping. We have her in our hearts!
