Our Lord has tenderly called our mother home on September 14, 2017. Nora was born on August 15, 1925, in Scott's Point, East Dover.
She was predeceased by her parents, Wilbert Elton Scott and Rita Beatrice (Morash); brothers, Charlie, Borden, Webster; sisters, Letitia, Muriel Zinck (Tom), Neima Zinck (Gordon); and husband, Antonio Morrone (Halifax business owner "Tony's Corner" store).
Her current family includes sons, Enrico, Dante (Barb) and Cristoforo (Joan); grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Allecia; step grandchildren, Ben, Kate, and Nathan; and great-grandchildren, Brooke, Dane, Annalisa and Alexandra.
Nora was a beautiful, gentle, and kind mother as well as a wise businesswoman. She enjoyed playing music, singing Gospel hymns, and gardening. She was a great caretaker of her family. She was an active member of West End United Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a choir member for many years. Nora's faith was strong with the Lord. She will be greatly missed but we will meet on the beautiful shore someday.
The family wishes to thank neighbors, Norm and Gregory Publicover who have been helpful to the family over many years. Also special thanks to Drs. Joanne Zed and Angela Morash, and all the staff at Princess Lane (Parkstone Enhanced Care), Home Instead Homecare, and particularly, Sheree Coke and Kathy Crane who cared for Nora recently - two great women who were fun and adored by Nora. They repeatedly lifted her spirit in many ways and were a great comfort to the family.
Visitation in Snow's Funeral Home, Clayton Park, on Thursday, September 21 from 6-8 p.m. Church services in Bayside Baptist Church, September 22, at 11 a.m. Burial immediately following in the East Dover Baptist cemetery.
