
Pearl attended school in Torbrook Mines and graduated from Middleton High School. She worked as a traveler’s aide through the YWCA, worked for the City of Halifax in Social work for 25 years retiring in 1984, and found this work most rewarding.
Pearl also worked in the Accounting department at the Halifax Shipyards from 1939-1948 and Maritime Tel & Tel Accounting department from 1948-1958. She joined Mulgrave Park United Baptist Church by letter to be baptized in the river by the Torbrook Mines United Baptist Church in 1936.
She is survived by daughter Margaret Darlene Smith (Stephen); son William Armstrong Scott; brothers Rev. Carrol Robie Armstrong, Torbrook Mines, Annapolis County, N.S.; daughter-in-law Pamela D’Eon; six grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband William G. Scott.
Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Wednesday, December 21st from 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Mulgrave Park Baptist Church on Thursday, December 22nd at 11:00am. Interment will take place in Nictaux, Annapolis County, N.S. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Salvation Army or Rosedale Home for Special Care, Highway 10, New Germany N.S.
