RUSSELL, Ralph A. – 92, of Halifax, NS, passed away on September 18, 2012 at Camphill Veteran’s Memorial Hospital in Halifax. He served in the Canadian Army in the Second World War, and was injured while serving in Europe.
He is the last surviving member of his family. He was predeceased by his wife Molly; son Stephen; sisters Lillian and Jess; brothers Herbert “Bud”, Rev. George, William, and Robert. He is also survived by his nieces Georgette Britten, Louise Russell, and nephews James Russell and Greg Russell.
Ralph worked with the Bank of Nova Scotia, Fred Magee & Co., Maritime Packers, Glubes Furniture and until he retired, International Financial Services.
Ralph was very involved in the founding of the Cystic Fibrosis Society of Nova Scotia, which later to become The Stephen Russell Cystic Fibrosis Fund.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
