Reginald Murray Stallard

STALLARD, Reginald Murray Sr., Age 87 of Hammonds Plains passed away July 16, 2020. Born in Halifax, He was the son the late Arthur and Annie (Ridgley) Stallard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Viola; Son, Reginald Jr; Bonnie Murray, who he loved like a daughter; sister-in-law Joan Pelley; Nephew, Scott; Niece, Paula, as well as several nieces and nephews in Ontario. He was predeceased by his brother Gordon; Sister-in-law Mary; Brother in-law, Carl Pelley; and Nephew, David Pelley.

He started his Career as an electrician, before starting his own company, Beacon Electric limited in 1964. He later started doing appliance repairs for the T. Eaton Company which led to the company focusing on major appliance sales. He then became an Inglis Whirlpool dealer in 1977. The company outgrew it’s locations several times before finally moving to the Hammonds Plains site where Reg remained an active part of the business until his passing.

Special thanks to Benny Lawrence and Jerry Crawley for helping make it possible for Reg to be able to travel in the delivery vehicles where he enjoyed traveling with the boys until his passing.

Another special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Abby J. Lane Hospital 9 Lane for the excellent care they provided Reg with until passing.

Services will be held at J.A. Snows Funeral Home Lacewood Drive in Halifax, Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM.

Due to Covid 19 seating limited

Immediate family and close friends will be seated in priority. Burial will follow at Preeper Hill Cemetery in Shubenacadie.
