

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Mazerolle “Bob” of Halifax, NS, on February 1, 2016 at the age of 65, surrounded by his loving family at the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Dalhousie, NB, he was the son of the late Elzear Mazerolle and survived by his mother, Lorraine Robichaud.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending weekends at the hunting camp with family and friends.
Bob also enjoyed many trips with June in the Convertible. Bob started cutting hair at the first Golden Clipper on Spring Garden Road in 1969. Transferred to the Golden Clipper in Mic Mac Mall in 1973 where he stayed for the next 18 years, until he opened his own business in Cole Harbour in 1986, called Head Quarters Hairstyling.
Bob was as well-known award winning men’s stylist. During the course of his career he won several Atlantic Provincial Awards for men’s styling including Champ Of Champs Award which was the ultimate hairstyling award. He hosted annual Kidney Foundation Cut-a Thons. He volunteered as fireman in Lake Echo for several years.
Survived by his wife, June Kingsley; daughters, Michelle Hutt (Tim), Susan Tibbo (Bryan); stepdaughter, Corrie Kingsley (Leonard); sisters, Luce Richard (Rodrique), Colette Reimnitz (Roger), Dianna Chasse (Marc), Pauline Mazerolle; brothers, Louis Mazerolle (Audette), Phillipe Mazerolle (Jacinthe); 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother, Richard Mazerolle and very special nephew, Eric Mazerolle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5 from 6-8 pm and memorial service on February 6 at 1:00 pm, both in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the QEII Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
