Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a good man, it was a pleasure to work with him at Headquarters. He will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear that Robert passed away. My fondest memories go way back to Christmas in Dalhousie when our families got together. I send a big hug to all the family

So sorry to hear about Bob. He cut my hair from the late 70's until he retired. I never have been able to find anyone who did as good a job and I so missed my visits and all the laughs we had. Rest in peace, Bob.

So sorry. I just heard about Bob. He started cutting my hair in 1972 and I continued going to him even after moving to Bridgewater in 1980. No one could cut my hair like Bob and I always enjoyed each visit. He had a great memory and could always remember things going on in my life. We grew up together for over 25 years while seeing each other 6 times a year. The photos were nice to see Bob in his personal life.

Susan, so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad.  I can still remember the fun we had hanging out at Head Quarters after school, your Dad was always so great.  My condolences to you and all your family.  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Michelle and Susan, I regret I can't express my thoughts about your Dad in person, as I am currently away. For over twenty years, I sat in his chair, and clearly remember his stories, some of which were just good conversation, others, true lessons on life. The range of topic was limitless, including how to save for our children's post secondary plans, and how to make good use of one's belt buckle in self-defence. The balance of being a story teller as well as a good listener is a rare find, and your Dad was the best at it. As a parent, with children not too different from your ages, I swapped many father stories with your Dad.  Perhaps because I was teacher to both of you, we connected on many issues, and always respected one another's opinions when we disagreed. Be comforted by the fact that he never stopped short declaring his love for you both. I hope you find some comfort in these words, and hopefully someday I can express them in person.

He was such a wonderful, caring, thoughtful man and always had lots of stories and jokes. That first hair cut that Bob gave Steve in hospital is something that we will always look back on with a smile, along with a few other incidents. I'm not sure where to even begin on the memories I have with Bob. He taught me so many things and I'm so very grateful for the times we had and the laughs whether it be at the house in Lake Echo when Su and I were his roomies..or at the camp shooting off the guns.  Su, Michelle and family I am so so sorry for your loss your dad was a great man and I'm glad I got to be 'one of the girls' xoxo

My deepest condolences to Bob's family. Bob cut my hair for over 20 years including in two competitions. He was a source of counsel and advice for me as I grew from a teenager to a young man with a family. He was the one who cut one of my son's hair for the first time. I will always remember Bob like he was in the picture of my son's first hair cut. May he rest in peace.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Bob as one of his Access a Bus drivers. I meet so many people daily in my line of work, but Bob will always remain with me. He was such fun to talk with, so many great stories, but also Bob had the gift of listening. His stories about his life were so enjoyable,and the drive downtown went by in a flash. Bob has been an inspiration to us and will be missed very much.
We looked forward to the stories from Len and Corrie and how deeply they cared for Bob. When asked what Len did last night, it would be, "Bob and I went out for a coffee or went to the camp for the weekend". Then the funny stories would start and have us in stitches. There were always great, heartwarming, inspirational stories that anyone could learn from.

June, Sue,Michelle, Corrie and family       I walked into the Golden Clipper on Spring Garden in 1970 as a young University student. Bob became my barber. Years later we moved to Mineville NS and Bob became my barber again.  I believe Sue knows our son Matt and in fact was his hairstylist.   Bob was a very kind and congenial man and well respected and well known for his expert work! He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am sorry to read of Bob's death. I first met him at the Golden Clipper on Spring Garden Road and was a client for most of his career including following him to MicMac Mall and then to Cole Harbour. It was only when I accepted a position on the South Shore that I moved  on. We shared great stories about our various hunting escapades. He was so happy when he had lucked into ne of the moose licenses granted in Nova Scotia. I was so envious of him.We also had another shared time as one of his daughters and one on mine were born on the same day and the Mom's shared the same room at the Halifax Infirmary. I want you to know how sad I felt when I read Bob's name in the obituaries. I had only known him a short time but every time I saw him, he was always so pleasant. After reading his obituary I realize how very humble he was. He certainly accomplished a lot in his short lifetime.

It is wth deepest regrets that I learned of Robert's death . Although it has been many years since we first became friends, I was, at that young age , always impressed with his kindness  and willingness to help his fellow mankind. The gut-busting laughter of Bob's card game rules and his ingenious methods of removing a hornet nest will always make us smile (a snow-mobile suit, spatula and oven mitts). Enjoyed Bob's hair styling for many years at the Cole Harbour Headquarters location. Bob was deeply missed when he retired. Always enjoyed Bob's passion for his business, informed and engaging conversations, and admired his praise and respect for his family. I express my deepest sympathy and prayers for Bob's family.
