Born in Halifax N.S. to Margaret and Stanley Bryant, Sharon married the love of her life, Robert, at the tender age of 15, and by 16, she had started the family that would become the center of her world. Her life’s work was not found in fame or fortune, but in the way she fiercely loved and selflessly gave to others. Over 45 foster children were welcomed into our home over the years, each one receiving the same care, warmth, and guidance she gave to her own. Her heart never ran out of space — there was always room at our table and in her arms for one more. While most will only find one great love in life, Mom was blessed to find a second true love in her partner, Ed — a beautiful chapter that brought her great happiness. Ed cared for Mom at home to the very end, fulling mom’s greatest wish, despite the challenges.
Mom leaves behind her loving partner, Edward Decoste; her five children, Sherry, Terrie Lynne, Trena, Nicole, and Robbie; grandchildren, Kierra, Jorian, Schylar, Maiya, Ethan, Talia, Owen, Harrison, Jaiyla, Axton; and great grandson, Alfie. She also leaves behind brothers, Darryl, Tim, Don and sons in law Vincent, Andy, and Don.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert and brothers, Dwight and Robert.
A celebration of life will be held on May 31, 2025, from 10am-12pm in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax, N.S.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia are greatly appreciated.
