Shirley Joyce Russell

RUSSELL, SHIRLEY JOYCE 76, of Toronto and Halifax, passed away November 2, at Victoria General Hospital. Born in New Ross, she was the daughter of Earl and Armenia Russell. Joyce owned and operated Russell’s Maid Service in Toronto for many years. She had lots of loyal friends there, who helped her when she was ill. Joyce fought hard to the end because she loved life. Thanks to Fred for bringing her home before her death. Thanks as well, to niece Shirley, nephew Edward and sister-in-law Barbara for all their help. Sheba, Joyce’s much loved cat, misses her dearly. We all miss her so much. We hope her terrible pain has ended. Rest peacefully. She is survived by daughter, Cathi Mummery, granddaughters Victoria and Crystal Lee, sisters Marcil Kovacs, Rena McLarty, Grace McGregor, Aileen Heisler; brother Fred Russell and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Carlyn Bergeron, Jean Hepburn; brothers Arnold and Gerald Russell. Special thanks to staff at VG Hospital and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre for their care.
