Veronica Kathleen Fader

— Passed away after a short illness, February 22, 2010, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 94. Born in Halifax, March 28, 1915, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Bowser) Asprey. Vera had a great commitment to her faith. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother. She is survived by daughters, Helen (Peggy) Kinsman, Sharon (Paul) Chiasson; sons, George (Sis) Fader, James (Freda) Fader, all of Halifax; John (Carole) Fader, Lively, Ont.; sisters, Marie Phelan, Annie Young and Bernadette (Agnes) Asprey of Halifax; special niece and godchild, Kathleen Phelan. She was predeceased by husband, Charles "Bus" Fader; her only brother, William Asprey; sisters, Jessie MacDougall, Helen Forhan; niece, Nancy Morris. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only.
