Wesley Ambrose Gosby

Wesley Ambrose Gosby, age 75, of Halifax. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one, Wesley Ambrose Gosby on February 20, 2014, at his home. Born in Guysborough, Guysborough County NS, he was the son of the late Harry and Winnifred Gosby. He worked for Blunden/Brookfield Bros Construction for 25 years and then went on the work for Brinks Canada until retirement.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce; daughter, Carolyn (Barry Nooyen) Lower Sackville; son, Wesley Jr. (Peggy) Lower Sackville; sisters, Dolly Morin (Jules - predeceased) ON, Rose (Bill Wladyka) Winnipeg, Judy Burns (Bolis) Dartmouth; brothers, Ralph (Susan), Wayne (Cilda), Barry “Ben”, and Russell “Ted” (Loretta - predeceased), all of Truro; grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Brandon, and Mathew, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Bernerd, Leonard, Leo “Buddy”, and Glenn. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. The family would like to thank all those who took part in his care over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
