Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of Margaret Vail and Clifford Briand.
Bill was a senior employee of CDN National Telecommunications for 40+ years. He enjoyed painting and drawing. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a lifelong dedication to his wife Helen. He was an avid Montreal Canadien and Toronto Blue Jays fan and ardent supporter of any endeavor his children were involved in.
Survived by his wife, Helen Rose Briand (O’Toole); daughter, Denise McCarthy; son, Bruce Briand (Valerie); brother, Robert Briand (Donna); grandchildren, Brent (Becky), Kirsten, Emily, Laura and great-grandchildren, Isla and Meara, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents; sister, Marie Leafloor and brother, Gerald Briand.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, at 10:00 am in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive with reception to follow. Burial at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
