Hubert N. Harris

Hubert N. Harris, 101, of Hamilton passed away on November 4, 2011 in the Hamilton General Hospital with his family at his side. Funeral Services will be Sunday November 6, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Cude officiating. Burial followed in the Indian Gap cemetery under the direction of Riley funeral Home.

Mr. Harris was born January 23, 1910 in the Indian Gap Community of Hamilton County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Obediah and Ella Spivey Harris. He Married Betty Iva Watts on September 28, 1940. She preceded him in death. Hubert was a farmer and rancher in Hamilton County for many years and also served as County Commissioner from 1960 till 1968. He also worked for the City of Hamilton for many years where he retired.

Hubert was a very dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather and was will be dearly missed by his family and friends and all whom had the great honor to have known him as a friend.

Survivors include; 2 Sons, Obie Bickle Harris and his wife Shirley, and Ronnie Luther Harris and his wife Becky; his grandchildren, Cheryl Kay Cullen and her husband Billy, Kelly D,Ann Harris, Joshua Caleb Harris and his wife Amy, and Rachel Annette Miller and her husband Dennis; he is also survived by his great grandchildren; Kelsey Zaiontz, John Zaiontz, Olivia Harris, Will Cullen, Cara Harris, Eowyn Miller, Hagan Miller, Emma Harris, and his great –great- grandchild, Kynlee Zaiontz.
