Judith Ellen Newman Summers

Judith summers went to be with the lord on November 16, 2024. Judy was born on March 15, 1946 to Hettie Logan and Ralph Carl Newman. She was one of five children. Judy was known for her honest caring ways and always offered good advice to friends and family.

Judy is survived by her son Eric Newman and a step-daughter JeReece Summers. She also is survived by a sister Nancy and her husband Dan, brother William Newman and wife Melanie, sister in laws Debrah Newman, and Norma Newman. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Carl, Catherine, Charlette Carla, and Tonya.

She is preceded in death by her husband John W. Summers, and brothers Jerry and Bobby Newman.

Judy attended Hamilton High School where she graduated and went on to attend Hill County Women’s college and later went to Tarleton State University where she received her teacher certificate. She taught school and then worked at the Hamilton Pubic Library.

She had many interest and loved listening to music and playing lotto scratch offs. Willie and Waylon were some of her favorite artists. She loved to read a good mystery and in her final years she found a love for cruises.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday , January 18, 2025 at the Calvary Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M.
