

Lois Louisa (Black) Williams, 90, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, July 7 at a local nursing home. Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 10 at Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Lois was born December 25, 1922 in Pecan Wells, Texas to Bob and Sudie Black. Lois married Hershel Williams in Coleman, Texas on November 19, 1940. They were married 68 years and 8 months. They raised four children; Wanda, Darla, Gary & Bobbie. Hershel and Lois spent the majority of their married life in the Shive Community, Hamilton Co. Texas.
Lois was a loving wife and mother. She played sports when she was in school and actively supported her children and grandchildren in all school activities. She loved working in her garden and canning the things she raised. She had a wonderful sense of humor and wasn't above pulling practical jokes. She was active member of her church in Shive. She loved raising baby sheep, and other various farm animals. She also loved oil painting, and was very creative and imaginative. Lois loved camping, cooking and family gatherings. Lois loved God, family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters; Darla Riley of Scurry, Texas & Bobbie Young & husband Steve of Hamilton. One son; Gary Williams & wife Mary of Montalba, Texas. Two sisters; Cleta Hunt of Moline, Texas & Velda Sanders of Star, Texas.
Eleven grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren & one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Hershel. One daughter; Wanda Plagens. One sister; Ogie Yeager, two grandchildren Clinton Young and Alisa Plagans & one step-grandson; James Ravenstahl. Please leave online condolences at www.rileyfuneral.com.
