He is preceded in death by his parents JB Pett and Alta Upham Petett.
He spent his life in Hamilton County. He was a good man who had many friends. He worked for many years at the Hamilton Herald News. He wanted to own some land, and his grandmother helped him save for a downpayment. He bought a family farm in the Shive Community. It became a gathering place for friends and family.
He is survived by Madalene Duncan of Cleburne, Jim Petett of Canyon Country, CA. and Tommy Petett of Crowley, TX, several nieces and nephews and good friend Larry Venable.
