Randal Martin Edwards

Randy was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 8th, 1959 to Martin Avery Edwards and Ruby Nell Elmore Edwards. He graduated from Keller High School, earned his Bachelor of Business and Finance degree in 1980 and his Masters of Education in 1988, both from Tarleton State University. While at TSU he was involved in many different organizations. After graduation, Randy worked in education, first as a teacher and girls’ basketball coach, then as a Principal and Superintendent. Randy always had a love for raising livestock, ranching, and horsemanship and instilled that tradition in his sons. He had a deep love for his family and friends. He enjoyed watching the girl’s state basketball tournament, horse racing, playing board games, and fellowshipping with family and friends.

Randy is survived by two sons, Martin Blake Edwards and his wife Gayle of Hamilton, Texas and son Mitchell Brandt Edwards of Dublin, Texas. Randy has two precious grandchildren Jaxon Donnell Edwards and Fischer Avery Edwards whom he loved so much. Randy was loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dennis Avery Edwards and Rodney Kirk Edwards.

Visitation will be held at Riley Memorial Funeral Home April 11th, 2015 from 4-6 pm. Memorial Services will be held at the Chandler Craig Auditorium at Hamilton High School at 2 pm. Chris Irvin from Grace Bible Fellowship will be officiating the services, with Riney Jordan presenting the obituary.
