Rojelio Torres Martinez

Rojelio Torres Martinez went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, surrounded by his family. Services for Rojelio will be held at the Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton, Texas at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 11, 2011.

Rojelio was born, December 13, 1938 to the late Trine and Fidelia Martinez. He married Betty Lou Rogers in Gatesville, Texas on August 11, 1962. His wife, Betty Lou preceded Rojelio in death in 1995. Rojelio worked for Hercules Company in McGregor for many years until his retirement in 1994. He was Catholic and went to St. Mary's in Lampasas.

Rojelio was an avid Bingo player and loved fishing and being with his children. We will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Survivors are a daughter, Veronica Sanchez and her husband Florencio of Bellmead, Texas; his sons, Gilbert Chris Martinez of Lometa, Texas and Rojelio Martinez, Jr. and wife Sydney of Bellmead and a granddaughter, Samantha Jo Martinez.

One brother Frank Martinez of Lampasas, one sister Elbira Valles and her husband Felipe of Lampasas. Along with many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Rojelio was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou, his parents and four brothers.
