Woodrow Wilson Tracy Jr., known as Woody by friends and family, was called home on August 10, 2023, Thursday evening in Hico Texas. He was surrounded by his family to give him his final kisses goodbye. The decision for cremation was made so his final wishes could be granted to be buried in the Black Family Cemetery in Hico.
Woody was born January 6, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Woodrow Wilson Tracy Sr. and Sylvia Mae Lowe. He proudly served our country as a Marine and bravely fought for our country. He resided in California for several years. He then Drove 18 wheeler trucks for 18 years until he retired in 2003. He then resided in Hico where he peacefully passed away at his home.
Everywhere Woody went he always greeted people and made friends with his big smile and bright blue eyes. He loved telling stories, jokes and hanging out at the Koffee Cup, Lilly’s, Ranglers and Sonic in Hico. He touched so many lives during his time in Hico. Woody had an unwavering Faith in the lord, family, and America. He undeniably loved his wife, Brenda Tracy, of 33 years.
Woody is survived by his wife Brenda Tracy. One son Matthan Tracy. Four daughters Chandra Ross, Kathy Embrey, Alpha Tracy, and Falesiliga Tracy. Several Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren who he loved dearly.
Woody is proceeded in death by his parents, two sisters; Roberta Kay Henshew and Sunya Christine Tracy, one son, one grandson; Baby Robert McGown and one great grandson; Oakley Mcgown.
Monetary donations to help cover costs of services can be made to Sunflower Bank in Hico towards Woody’s Savings. Flowers can be sent when we have the Celebration of Life ceremony at the FUMC-Family Life Center in Hico, Texas.
Woody will be deeply missed by many. He can peacefully sleep now. OORAH!
