Donald loved the outdoors, he enjoyed going fishing and camping with his children, and grandchildren. He loved spending as much time as he could with his great grandson Colton. He would take Colton on walks around his yard, and take him into the bird coop to play with Papa’s pigeons. He really enjoyed just spending time with his kids and grandkids, either on the phone or having Thursday coffee dates. He enjoyed going to games, meets, and cooking with his grandkids and learning to crab fish with them as well. He loved wood working and making crazy stuff for people. He never missed an opportunity to dig something, burn something, explode something or explore something. He was always the person to call when you needed a partner in crime. Most of all he enjoyed watching his family at family gatherings.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers Robert, David, and Dale Vande Brake. Wife Sandy Vande Brake. Children Daniel Vande Brake, Dean Bennett, Bobby Vande Brake, Nichole Bristol, Patricia Spirlock, Heather Nevius, and Joe Vande Brake. 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
