Harris was drafted to the United States Marine Corp where he served our Country overseas for 2 years.
Once he was honorably discharged, he spent most of his adult life as a Truck Driver.
He was very involved with his family, enjoyed watching sports and classic western movies, and loved spending time fishing with family and friends. He was kind and friendly, and always had a smile of hello for neighbors and never met a stranger. He loved spoiling the family dogs and making people laugh.
Harris is preceded in death by his parents Harris and Pearl Nesbit, and 6 siblings: Henrietta, Andrew, Dan, Anthony, Ernest and David. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Olga; his children Chris, Hope, Rachel, and Micah; 5 siblings: Sally, Louise, Earma Lee, Samuel, and Nathaniel; and all of his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank everyone who reached out with the support, care and compassion they have shown our JR in his final days.
At this time family is asking in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to:
