Mr. James "Jim" Guy Miller Sr.

Jim was born on January 6, 1929, in Grafton, North Dakota, to Floyd and Helen (Wellenger) Miller. He graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks, ND, in 1946. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1950 until 1954. He married Doris “Dodie” Lottine of Gilby, ND, on October 13, 1956, in Los Angeles, CA. He re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1960. He retired from Norton AFB in San Bernardino, CA, as an aircraft electrician.

He is survived by his daughters, Jacquie (John) Martin of Hesperia, CA; Carol (Gary) Cottle of Menifee, CA; and Catherine “Cathy” Von Moos of Riverside, CA; and 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Helen Miller; his wife of 63 years, Dodie; son, James “Jimmy” Miller, Jr., Ontario, CA; sisters, Joyce Elken, Long Beach, CA and Helen Jean Quinn, Newport Beach, CA; and brother, John “JD” Miller Sr., Minto, ND.

Interment with military honors will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 12:45 pm at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
