As an adult she lived in Hawaii and Storm Lake Iowa returning to settle in California in 1997.
Sherry married Les Konradi in March 1991 leading to a blended family with three amazing sons.
Sherry and Les returned to Costa Mesa in 1997, settling in Apple Valley in 2006.
She dedicated her career to special education students, she loved her work and ‘her kids’. She retired from Hesperia School District in 2013.
Sherry loved life and battled with cancer valiantly, never complaining always enjoying all she did and more concerned about others than herself. She loved animals, adopting several cats herself, and finding homes for others. Sherry enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. An occasional trip to Laughlin was a must where she enjoyed the penny slots (eating was out of the question!)
Sherry should be remembered by her message to never give up, to live life with Christian love and to laugh out loud.
7 Seize life! Eat bread with gusto, Drink wine with a robust heart. Oh yes - God takes pleasure in your pleasure!
8 Dress festively every morning. Don't skimp on colors and scarves.
9 Relish life with the spouse you love Each and every day of your precarious life. Each day is God's gift. It's all you get in exchange for the hard work of staying alive. Make the most of each one!
Ecclesiastes 9:7-9
