William Miles Peters

On Sunday, February 08, 2026, William Miles Peters passed away at the age of 91 in Hesperia, California. William was born on March 31, 1934 in Evart, Michigan to George and Ethyl (Keith) Peters. William married Claire Burchfield Wilson on December 28, 1991 in Hesperia, California.

William was an avid amateur radio operator since the early 80's and licensed as an Extra Class with the FCC. He retired in the mid 80's from truck driving and later from Victor Valley College as a Custodian. He volunteered for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Citizen on Patrol Dept and also worked part time for Spring Valley Lake Association in the security department.

William is preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth, daughter Robin, sisters, Roberta (Handy), Peggy (Nortier), Bettie and grandson,

Jason Dodson. He is survived by his wife Claire, sister, Helen Stutzman, daughters, Cheryl (Reveles) and Debbie (Pepper), stepson, Bradley Wilson and stepdaughter, Michelle Rios, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

A memorial service for William will be held on Friday , February 27th from 3-7 PM at Funeraria del Angel - Hesperia, 16120 Main Street, Hesperia, California.
