
Born in Brooklyn February 10, 1930 to Mary and Emmanuel Schwartz and survived by his younger brother Carl. He married Eileen Grappel and raised two children Robin (Schwartz) Richman and Martin Schwartz. Later in life he married Marilyn (Linker) Schwartz and our family expanded with Randi (Linker) Beatus and Jeffrey Linker. Marilyn and Bernie were married for 47 years and were most proud of their family. Their four children grew to 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn Schwartz, Daughters Robin (Schwartz) Richman (Martin Rosenberg), Randi (Linker) Beatus, Sons, Martin Schwartz (Tama) and Jeffrey Linker (Marla). Grandchildren Joshua Richman (Kelly), Stephanie (Schwartz) Harrington (Jim), Jeffrey Richman (Mila), Jaime Schwartz , Michael Linker (Melissa), Melanie (Beatus) Edelsen (Matt), Stephanie Linker, Erica (Schwartz) Last (Matt), Adam Schwartz, Skylar Beatus. Great Grandchildren Lexi and Harley Harrington, Arielle, Richman, Julian Richman and Dylan Last.
Bernie was passionate about his family and people. He traveled the world multiple times, loved being around his friends, golf, concerts and Peter Lugers. He was very proud of his affiliation with the Five Towns Kiwanis and the South Shore Masonic Lodge. Bernie was an inspiration to all. He supported many charities, and acted as a second father to many people. People looked to Bernie for his advice, counsel and wisdom. He was truly one of a kind. He will be missed by many.
