Alfred D. Whitaker, age 88, of Highland passed away April 5, 2015. He is survived by his wife Margaret, daughter Linda (Mark) Spencer, one granddaughter Jamie, two great- grandchildren: Jesse and Jorgie, two brothers: James Whitaker, Gene (Betty) Whitaker, special niece Sue Fech, many nieces and nephews, special friend Rich Holler; preceded in death by his son, Corporal Fred D. Whitaker. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN. Burial Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Alfred was a great golfer and fisherman.
