Alyce had a rich and full life. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially creating prayer shawls for hospice patients. Passionate about genealogy, she co-authored two books on her French and English ancestry. She loved fishing and was a devout Catholic who recited the rosary daily. Alyce took pride in her work as a secretary, having served many years at the Highland Water Department. An avid reader and cat lover, Alyce was known for her warm spirit - after just one conversation, you felt like lifelong friends. A proud graduate of Hammond High School’s class of 1945, her home was always the heart of family gatherings. She also enjoyed a good glass of wine and cherished time spent with loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert Morow; her parents, Roy Tolles and Marie Farrell Tolles; her son, Michael R. Morow; her sister, Mary Jeanne Kolb; brothers-in-law, Jerry Kolb and Rudy Morow; and sister-in-law, Flo Morow.
Alyce is lovingly survived by her daughter, Mary Jane (Joseph) Novosel; her son, Paul R. (Kim) Morow; grandchildren, Nicholas Novosel, Pauline Novosel Gibson, and Celeste Morow; five great-grandchildren; niece, Andrea Keck; and nephew, Chris (Micki) Kolb; daughter-in-law, Jewell Morow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Our Lady of Grace Catholic School or Assumption Abbey.
Alyce will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
