

Bonnie Riggle Purbaugh (nee Milligan), age 93 of Griffith, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012 in Cumming, GA. Widow of two beloved husbands, Donald E. Riggle and F. Wayne Purbaugh; survived by two children, Donald Gale (Marilyn) Riggle of Griffith, IN. and Holly Riggle (Tom) Speichert of Cumming, GA.; two step-children, Sally (Joe) Rostron of Kokomo, IN. and Michael (Christine) Purbaugh of Griffith, IN.; seven grandchildren, Mark (Kristen) Riggle, Rochelle (Mike) Poole, Cathy Riggle, Shawn (Lori) Ulm, Shannan Ulm, Scott Speichert, Timothy (Sarah) Speichert, four step-grandchildren; Heather (Dale) McAninch, Ben Rostron, Jon (Tanya) Rostron and Jennifer Purbaugh; seven great-grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Griffith, IN., with Pastor Randy McQueen officiating. Burial, Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary. Friends may meet with the family Thursday from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. with the Eastern Star Ceremony taking place from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd (2blks S. of Ridge Rd), Highland.
Ms Purbaugh was born in Morocco, IN., lived in Whiting and later moved to Griffith where she lived for 83 years before moving to Cumming, GA. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 84 years, president of UMW, Sunday school teacher, member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years, Women of Wisdom, Red Hats and Griffith Women’s Club. Bonnie worked at Smith Victor after graduating from Griffith High in 1936. She retired from the Griffith School system to pursue her love of camping, sewing, cooking and gardening.
