Bonnie Lou Westcott

Bonnie Lou Westcott (Gorman), 72, of Elkhart, IN, passed away on July 12, 2025, in South Bend, IN. Born in Hammond, IN on November 9, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of the late Norma Jean Jackson (Walls) and Bill Gorman.

Bonnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Westcott; her son, Tommy Jones; her sister, Rebecca Wilkins; brother-in-law, Jerry Wilkins; and brother-in-law, John Hartman.

She is survived by her children, Brian (Kelli) Jones, Jeffrey (Janet Ray) Jones, Kevin (Amber) Jones; and daughter-in-law, Terri Jones. Bonnie was a proud grandmother to Dylan, Devin, Jason, Tyler, Justin, Tamara, Taylor, Tara, Joseph, Cameron, and Brady; and a loving great-grandmother to many cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Sandra Hartman, Kelly Pike, Tina Patteson, Jo Ellen Klut, and Laura Gibson.

Bonnie retired as the apparel manager for Big R stores, where she was known for her dedication and warm personality. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She poured her heart into being a grandmother and great-grandmother, and she adored spending time with her loyal dog, Chowder.

She attended Church on the Rock Michiana in Elkhart, where her faith brought her strength and peace.

Bonnie had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making everyone feel like they were her favorite. Her infectious laugh and radiant smile could light up any room.

She will be cremated and laid to rest beside her mother and grandparents at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
