Charles A. Barron

Charles (Chuck) A. Barron, age 65, sadly passed away on September, 29, 2023, at his childhood home, in Griffith, Indiana. Chuck was known as a kind helper, hard worker and avid lover of muscle and hot rod cars. He grew up working at Barron’s Lounge, a local bar, owned by his mother and father. After his father’s passing, Chuck helped his mother run Barron’s Lounge until it sold in 1983, and became Bridges Scoreboard. His passion was working on his 1988 Firebird, Irene’s Dream, in honor of his late mother, and caring for his yard, home and the neighborhood wildlife. He will be missed by all those he came in contact with, whether a neighbor, friend, those seeking his handyman skills or family. He found solace and comfort in a quieter and spiritual life that seemed to bring him peace the last few decades of his life.

Charles is survived by his niece (Alexis Smith); great-nephew (Elijah Harris); great-niece (Lily Harris); sister (Diane Barron) and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan and parents, Carl and Irene. Direct cremation took place with care and dignity. An In Memoriam to Chuck can be found at Calumet Cemetery, next to his beloved mother and father. In honor of Chuck, a donation can be made to The Humane Society of The United States.
