I went to school with Dave and hung out with the kids from the "Northwoods". I just found out. I'm so, so sorry for your loss. My condolences to all the familys.

I a very truly sorry for the loss of your husband, father, relative, friend to all who knew him. Although I did not know him personally, I have been fortunate enough to have Andrew, Jacklyn and Jessica in my classroom and/or gym these past few years at Johnston Elementary. dear friends, i am sorry for your loss. i 'knew' dave as an internet acquaintance, but his gentle kind spirit was evident. again, my deepest sympathies.

I am ever so saddened by the loss of Dave. Dave was a friend of mine on Ultimaterhoads, a site dedicated to the memory of the late guitarist Randy Rhoads.

Dave just came across as such a sincere and decent guy. When the Marshall poster came out I got hold of one and sent Dave a copy of it. It was a rare shot and he was like an excited kid when he received it!! LOL

Anyway may he rest in peace; cheers to a lovely man

sorry for your loss I went to school with him he was a great guy! I just found out due to another class mate was talking about david on the radio. and gary w also went to school thats how i just found out!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing.  I have many wonderful memories of Dave and I am grateful that I had the privilege to know him.  All of you are in my prayers.

Dear Jackura family,

I was your neighbor, directly across the street in Portage (On Sloan St.)-The Raymonds. My brother Robert was friends with David. We moved to Michigan around 1977 or 78.

I have two very fond memories of David-The first is that he taught me how to ride my bike without the training wheels. He told me me that he would give me a candy bar if I kept trying.

The second is the magic shows he used to put on in the backyard. He sure had a way of getting all the nieghbor kids together for some fun!

Dearest Violet & Family,
Simple words can not express the sadness that fills my heart when I think of David's passing.  Although we didn't spend much time together as adults, some of my fondest memories come from our youth. I love David like a brother and my tears are briefly interrupted by smiles when I contemplate some of the fun times we shared.  I will miss him greatly.
