David B. Legg, 65 formerly of Highland, IN passed away on May 17, 2020 in Canton, IL. He was born on April 17, 1955 to the late Mervin and Jeannette (Cotterell) Legg in Hammond, IN. David was a high school graduate of Morton High School in June 1974. He went on to further his education and acquire a Bachelor's Degree of English from Purdue University in May of 1983. He loved to read, enjoy NASCAR races, as well as being a life long Chicago Cubs Fan. He is survived by his two sisters, Beverly (Russ) Columbo and JoAnn Neff; niece Carla (Hubert) Watson; three nephews, Michael Columbo, Darryl (Darla) Smith, George Smith; along with several great-nephews and great-great-nephews and their families. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 12PM-1PM at Kuiper Funeral Home - 9039 Kleinman Road Highland, IN 46322. A funeral service to honor David will take place at 1PM that day with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating. Burial to take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery - 8178 Cline Ave. Crown Point, IN 46307. Please leave a message or memory here on David's special page.

I loved David Legg I started working with him at 17 in Lewistown an then 13 years later I followed him to Sunset in Canton. I always loved David and he was a sweet man sometimes I'd get on him when he talked to his mama on the phone an he started laughing. She had to be an awesome women.

I remember him fondly .... he was a resident at a nursing home that I worked for. Stubborn at times but a very nice man one you got to know him . May he Rest In Peace
